A Distressing Story with a Happy Ending

We signed up our English Bulldog Vic with Pets Best more than a year ago when we took Vic home. He is a very happy dog with a gentle disposition. During his second annual PE this year, we reported to Vic's vet that he has been limping with both his hind legs, and more so with the left leg. The tests showed that Vic had torn ligaments on both his behind knees, and that an ACL surgery was needed right away before his condition worsens and becomes more painful. In early May, Vic had his ACL surgery, and it has been very comforting to us to see Vic's progress since his surgery, and how much the surgery has helped him be more active and a happy dog again! Now, we are mindful that ACL surgeries are very expensive, and so we were anxious about how much of our total expenses would be reimbursed to us. It took about a month for Pets Best to process our claim (we understood d that Vic's condition is not an ordinary one, so we did not mind the wait). The happy ending to this story is that Pets Best covered nearly all of Vic's surgery + hospitalization! Pets Best truly lives up to its name! If you are looking for a health insurance for your pets, PETS BEST is th way to go!

Pets Best is one of the best insurance companies

Pets Best is one of the best insurance companies I have ever worked with. They paid 99% of the claims we submitted for our beautiful 13 years old Standard Poodle Charlie who just passed away last week. Pets Best was with us every step of the way for Charlies's care. Charlie was found by the Vet to have anal gland cancer at 8 and had to have it surgically removed. Again, Pets Best was there and covered the expensive surgery and care. Their payments were prompt. Their premiums were fair. I wish they had insurance companies like this for humans.

They wouldn’t approve a wellness claim…

They wouldn’t approve a wellness claim because the receipt also included a toy I bought my dog. I was not asking them to pay for the $3 toy in fact the visit summary showed exactly what the itemized vaccines were.

"I have had great experiences with Pets Best. Through HGE, emergency visits and stays, cancer, allergies and more- once I met my deductible it paid what my policy states. Pets Best Provides Stress Relief

I adopted a 3 year old large breed dog 5 years ago and I chose Pets Best Insurance after careful research. I have been more than satisfied with the ease of completing a claim, the clarity of explanation of benefits and the ease of receiving payment. As my dog ages she needs more and more healthcare and I am confident every time we go into the veterinarian office because I know I have the financial support from Pets Best. Such a stress relief for the family!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
