Slow claims process but thorough

We had two Boston Terriers without Pet Insurance and paid the price. We spent over $15K for their medical maladies. When we purchased our new Boston Terrier we decided to try Pets Best. Unfortunately after having her for 6 weeks she ended up in an emergency hospital with Aspirated Pneumonia. Unfortunately Pets Best determined her pneumonia was a pre-existing condition. They did however cover all costs not associated with the pneumonia. So while we paid well over $5000 for her care, Pets Best did come through and reimburse over $1700 after our $500 deductible and 10% co-pay.. The claims process took over 3 weeks to complete and I had to call for updates. I commend Pets Best for their thorough claims process. I only wish they would update the status online more frequently.

This was a perfect insurance experience

I've always bought insurance for my dogs. However, this is the first policy I've purchased from PetsBest which was based on the good reviews I read online. I covered my Cocker Spaniel, Cooper, from the day I bought him back in March of 2017. He had a bad experience with diarrhea and vomiting which required several vet visits, medications, tests etc. The problem was resolved and I submitted my claim to PetsBest. The claim was handled in 5 days from when they received it and the money was in my checking account two days later. I consider this to be the way all insurance companies should operate. They exceeded my expectations and I am totally satisfied. This is a good place to do business. Glad I did my homework and gave PetsBest a chance.

This Was An Emergency Illness Whe...

This was an emergency illness where our dog experienced severe gastroenteritis and was hospitalized for dehydration and lack of eating. We were extremely pleased with the speedy processing of the claim.

Rugey, My Boykin Spaniel, Loves T...

Rugey, my Boykin Spaniel, loves to play fetch with his ball. He seems to plan his spectacular jumps for his ball, then trots around proudly after he catches it mid-air. One particular jump, he landed awkwardly on his shoulder/neck and suffered some soft tissue injury. Naturally, we took him to our Veterinary Clinic. Rugey underwent an exam and x-ray imaging. We were happy that no bones were broken and the damage was just soft tissue. PetsBest alleviated any added stress because we knew that our claim would be handled and would be handled in an expedient manner. Thank you, PetsBest!

My Claim Is Still Ongoing As We'R...

My claim is still ongoing as we're still in the diagnosis/treatment plan stages for my Milo's cancer diagnosis, but it makes it easier knowing Pets Best has our financial back!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
