Lie about processing time

I have only used this insurance for preventive care so far. When I got the insurance a little over a year ago, claims were paid within 10 days. They advertise quick claim processing with the average claim processed in 5 days. My dog was seen on 2-15-20 for preventive visit and wellness check and has yet to be processed. I contacted customer service and was told process time can be up to 45 days. I received a survey about customer service the next day. Quit sending surveys and process claims! Definitely considering changing insurances.

Love this insurance

Love this insurance! They’re fast on viewing your claims and processing your return payment and will make sure to leave you an email when they’re running slow. I had a claim sent out and I got an email that they received quite a few and it might take longer than the initial day for the processing. I sent another claim 4 weeks later as my puppy was still getting her shots..and within 1 day, they both were processed.

have been with pets Best for many years…

have been with pets Best for many years and several company changes. The biggest complaint i have now is that their time tp do claims has increased greatly. I was used to the old claims sectin being relatively quick, sometimes in a few days to a week. they always apologize but 6 weeks to get a claim resolved seems a bit to much.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
