Worst pet insurance ever.
I got this insurance to have peace of mind about my dog because I care about him more than I do myself. And he chipped his tooth and had to have it removed. I filed a claim and the claim took from September until January for them to finally process it. Than they tell me oh we only cover $180 of the procedure. Out of $810. And then $180 did not even cover my deductible.
Worst pet insurance I have ever tried. Don’t get this insurance you will be very displeased.

Read the coverages and know what you are buying
PetsBest seemed to have the coverage I needed for my Mastiff/Pit mix pupply and I bought the policy when she was 6 weeks old. I thought I read the policy but apparently did not pick up on the fact they do not pay for many preventative services and well care visits. I was surprised when my claim regarding the spaying of my pup was not covered. This procedure should be covered due to the fact that it prevents many problems in female dogs that would cost far more money in claims later in life. Even Petsmart's puppy plan covers spaying! I am currently re-evaluating my coverage and whether to change to another company.

Excuses that just don't satisfy me
The amount of time that this company makes you wait for a payment is unacceptable. They are quick to take their monthly payment on time, but make a person wait an unacceptable amount of time for reimbursement for a service that was performed. Often times, we end up paying more because we are charged interest by the credit card company because we haven't received payment for covered expenses. In all honesty, I've always had my animals insured, but by Trupanion who I would highly recomment to anyone. I only wish that Pets Best has me now, because of filing a claim, my dog now has a pre-existing illness, that wouldn't be covered by anyone, so thats how they have you stuck, they know that once you have filed a claim your hooked.

Called customer service 1/15/20
Called customer service 1/15/20, asked to be transfered to a legal department. A girl said NO (no explanation, just NO), I said that I changed my mind and won't buy policy because she refuse to transfer my call. She HANGED up on me. Lovely.

Waiting Period
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date.
