I am so grateful for Pets Best

I rescued a dog from the local shelter in October 2019 and immediately signed her up for pet insurance. In November 2019, while out of town for Thanksgiving, she got very sick and was rushed to an out of town vet. Pets Best reimbursed the claim within 45 days. On December 27, 2019, she developed bacterial pneumonia and was rushed to the ER and then to a regional specialist hospital. The bills reached over $6,000 in less than 48 hours. My sweet girl was euthanized within 2 months of rescuing her and I called Pets Best to let them know. I submitted a claim having no hopes they'd reimburse after only paying on the policy for 2 months. Today I received an email letting me know than 90% of Charlie's medical bills will be reimbursed. Several people have mentioned in their reviews the length of time it took to be reimbursed. I figured out early on that if I submitted the medical records along with the invoice it cut the time in half. I have a new rescue dog and immediately signed him up with Pets Best. I could not be happier with this company or the customer service I received when speaking to them on the phone.

I just filed my first claim & it was paid very promptly. I would have given a five star, but since it's my first interaction, I thought I'd wait to see how everything goes in the future.

Pets Best is the worst company ever

Pets Best is the worst company I have ever encountered. They commit fraud, dishonor their policies, ignore phone calls and requests, fail to appropriately review claims or explain benefits, deny claims without looking at them, lie to regulators following formal complaints, invent pre-existing condition exclusions, provide zero research or guidance, condescend your concerns, refuse to process claims or appeals, and could care less about you or your pet. I wasted hundreds of dollars without gaining any support for services guaranteed in policy. Still dealing with my September 2019 claim without resolution. Read BBB - my experience is far from unique.

Very Happy and Grateful for Pet's Best!

My first time filing a claim was so easy and my refund was deposited quicker than expected. I was also updated on the status of my claim in a timely manner. My dog comes first in my life and I spend more on her care so this insurance was a Godsend to me because I was spending a small fortune because she is a large dog. Thank you again Pets Best for making my dogs life and my life is a little easier!

4 PAWS DOWN!!! It took one month to process the claim only to deny it.

It took one month to process the claim only to deny it. A MONTH! I've had Pet Insurance with other companies before, and none of them have ever taken that long nor have they denied any claim I've submitted. I'd steer clear of this company!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
