Easy to sign up

Easy to sign up! Easy to file claims and get the reimbursements. The only thing I had issues with was filing a claim on the app, as it kicks you out every time you leave the app to scan a document or whatever else you need to do outside the app, so I definitely use the website more often.

Good, yes, maybe. Fast, definitely not

I am reading the reviews and although I usually do not review I want to make one thing clear : PetsBest is NOT fast. It takes a minimum of 3 weeks for them to process and reimburse any claim, even the most straightforward. Many will take maximum a week. I compared and think the coverage is very well positioned for the price compared to competition but ‘Fast’ does not define the service. Also the detail of benefit is not always clear and it is very hard to tell why this or that or covered or not. I think this is the same with most others. If you want a good pet insurance for a reasonable price, maybe. But if you want a fast one, this would not be your first choice.

Not worth it.

Waiting time on the phone is indefinite. Time is money, and my time is valuable too. As to chatting with someone on line, my experience was not any better. Reimbursement rate is minimum. Between paying premiums and meeting anual deductible, is just simply not worth it. I found that if I put in my savings what I pay in premiums, I’d end up saving money. My dogs are healthy and the rate of reimbursement for things like spaying and neutering are minimum! Just simply not worth the money. I would not recommend Pets Best to anyone. I would much rather go with the wellness care package our vet offers. It’s a lot cheaper. Re: your response: Customer portal communication through the app, as I said in my original response is not any better. It is as terrible as waiting on the phone. Communicating to Pest Best is however, is only 1/2 the problem. The other 1/2 is the rate of reimbursement.

We've had a great experience with Pets…

We've had a great experience with Pets Best Pet Health Insurance so far. Very easy to submit claims, it only takes them up to 2 weeks to approve the claims. Super user-friendly website.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
