As a new customer

As a new customer, I was disappointed that it took close to a month to have my first claim processed. Because of the pandemic, I understand that things were moving slower. Although, I would’ve appreciated a heads up regarding processing times when I purchased the insurance. After I called a few times, it seemed to help the process move along.

Best company. Worth every penny.

I have had other pet insurance companies and Pets Best is by far the best. Easy claim service, pretty quick reimbursement ( used to be a bit faster, but I'm sure they have more claims now than when I started with them). They have denied a couple of things but I checked and other companies would have denied them too. Overall very pleased. Have recommended to other pet parents.

Best Pet Insurance

I first joined PetsBest 15 yrs ago with my American Eskimo. We recently got a new puppy and enrolled her. I won’t use any other pet insurance.

Pets Best was there for me and my Doberman when he needed emergency surgery to save his life.

My Doberman went into Torsion (AKA Bloat) at 6 PM, right after our regular Vet closed so we rushed him to the closest emergency Clinic where they performed emergency surgery to untwist his stomach and save his life. I knew Pets Best had my back so I didn't even consider the expense but instead could focus on saving my beloved dog's life. He is alive and back home recovering thanks to quick action on my and the emergency Clinic's part. Pets Best was there for us all the way. The Claim process was simple and swiftly completed. I had signed up for Direct Deposit and the Claim was processed and settled surprisingly quickly and very fairly. My experience was so positive I have already recommended Pets Best to several friends. I highly recommend them!

First claim took forever…second claim super fast

Initially it took a long while on my first claim. However since then I have had one other claim that was processed and paid in a very quick time frame and deposited into my account. I was considering leaving for the first impression was not good. After this experience I believe I will stick it out and see how consistent they are in future.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
