Pet Best has exceeded my expectations…

Pet Best has exceeded my expectations of dog health insurance. We got a new puppy and this was our first time signing up for insurance. Our puppy ended up having a number of health issues. Having insurance literally saved his life and enabled us to give him the care he needed. Today he is very healthy! I was shocked at how much Pets Best reimbursed and how easy it was. I will never get a dog without pets best insurance.

Claims take FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purchased insurance in May, just paid for my second premium which they happily take immediately on the day it’s due. However I’m going on week 4 of waiting for my $1,500 in claims to be paid🤬🤬 and that’s all I’m going to say about that. The vet pay direct, is unacceptable as my vet is saying well Petsbest is saying 30 days for them to get paid back for services and they can’t wait for that so they will need payment from us NOW. I need my money back!!! Ugh!!!!

Tons better than VPI/Nationwide Pet Insurance

I originally was a customer of VPI/Nationwide Pet Insurance due to a large discount offered via my place of employment. However, due to various difficulties (claims always denied, limited coverage options for senior pets, and too many exclusion policies) with VPI over the course of 3 years, I finally canceled my insurance with them and chose to pay out of pocket for Pets Best. I have made one claim so far with PB and had absolutely no issues - claim was processed promptly, very easy to use their app, and received the 90% coverage reimbursement after co-pay and deductible. Yes, it was cheaper with the employer paid pet insurance discount in terms of monthly premiums, but I am getting more value for my money now paying the PB premiums and much more peace of mind.

Great Insurance/Wellness Package! Great value!

I am a first-time pet owner, and I want to make sure that my fur baby is taken care of health and wellness wise. After much research, I found that PetsBest insurance had what I needed and at an affordable rate. After our first few vet visits (she had a tapeworm and giardia!), I submitted my claim using the app. It was easy to upload the bill from the vet and my claim was taken care of within a week and a half. My payment was put directly into my checking account. Also, I had a detailed explanation of benefits that explained the coverage. It was so easy. Honestly, it is easier than dealing with insurance for humans!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
