Terribly long wait times to process…

Terribly long wait times to process claims, excessively long hold time on phone, live chat is a joke, they responded around 8 hours later and they emailed me to call them with additional documentation to process my claim after 28 days but I couldn't get through! Maybe you could have just emailed me what you needed! The only thing that goes smoothly is my auto-payment of the premium every month, which is too high but I can't change it until the renewal date!

Happy but not

I have always been very happy with your insurance as this would be my fourth or fifth dogs that I have insured with you. The price is starting to get a bit prohibited but I just can’t imagine having to make a life and death decision based on money. Also your paying claims has become unacceptable. Taking a month to process a claim is crazy. Other than that you guys are the best in the business

Takes too long and changes to policy rules

Takes way to long to get a reimbursement. I used to refer the company to others but not anymore. When I sign up my next dog it will not be Pets Best. Used to be preexisting conditions were included but not if I change any part of my insurance on one of my girls it starts a whole new policy and preexisting conditions are not included. That is a rip off that you changed the policies even if I have been with you before they were healthy. Wow. What a reply.... REALLY?!! If you look at my claims that are much longer than projected. You have everything you need because my claims are not anything new for more than a year. The new management change has made things go from good to worse. Used to refer pets best to everyone. Should really think about your replies and customer service.

Rip off! Go with Pet Plan company

I have not received one dime on anything that I’ve sent in. They marked everything as pre-existing, even something that wasn’t. They offered a form to dispute that one, and have it re-evaluated. It isn’t worth my time. That’s only $50 out over $1000 that I submitted. Go with Pet Plan. I have that on my other dog, and no issues!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
