This was my first time experiencing a 30 day wait for my claim as to Find out it wasn’t covered. Who doesn’t cover neutering as part of the 2nd plan I chose. You think they would want you to have your pet spayed or neutered no matter the plan. Disappointed this time around

Terrible service if you complain about a problem to your vet they will use it against you.

If your pet scratches with fleas in December and January, then has terrible skin conditions in May and June and is diagnosed with allergies they say it is a pre-existing condition since he scratched in Dec and Jan. Wish I hadn’t gone with them.

PetsBest is the best pet insurance

PetsBest is the best pet insurance. They have paid back for almost everything I've put in a claim for. I have two 6 month old female pug puppies and that gets expensive. Especially for spays and shots! They paid in under a month.

I'm leaving 4 stars only because of the wait time. I have filed numerous claims and they have all been approved but this past wait time was almost a month and a half but it is worth it and here's why. I work in the veterinary field and I have done my research on other insurance companies. I have an American Staffordshire Terrier and you do pay a little extra for that breed. Its best to be honest in the long run because the world is a cruel place and believe it or not there is still a war or bukly breeds and its best to keep them protected. Pets best has an option of a 90% reimbursement rate for accident and illness plan. Obviously you'll be paying more monthly. The have a set amount that they will cover for an annual vet visit including a set price for vaccines, flea and tick and heartworm prevention. They also cover any diagnostics like x-rays or blood work for a suspected illness. They also have an option called vet direct pay. If you are slammed with an unexpected vet bill over 500$, they will pay the veterinary clinic up front and you pay whatever your co pay is on your plan (90% or 80% ect). I was paying 110$ a month for my premium plan my 1st year for a "risky" breed and it is way worth it. You just have to wait long for reimbursement. If your considering pet insurance. Get pets best.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
