Best Worst

The WORST !!! They find ever reason to exclude paying claims. Should have read more of the negative reviews prior to purchasing the policy, slow claims processing, horrible customer service. Don't rely on their hyped up website, please read the negative reviews before purchasing the policy. Never again !! Pets Best, what a joke !!!

Pets Best is our Guardian Angel

I cannot say enough good things about pets best!! They have always handled our claims quickly and their customer service is superb. Our pup had a freak allergic reaction which landed her overnight in the hospital and it was fully covered. We never question saving our girl vs money and we know pets best is always there!

The only pet insurance I will EVER use

Im sure youve heard this from other reviews of other pet insurance companies but I can back this up 100%: No other pet insurance company responds to claims and reimbursements as fast as PetsBest hands down. Ive used so many top rated overly expensive pet insurance companies in the past when I used to show dogs. I stopped believing in pet insurance companies fter 1 horrible experience where the company I was paying almost $130/mo for ONE DOG wouldnt cover an illness because they said one symptom included in the Drs. Notes 9yrs ago was a symptom my dog had a "possibility" to acquire what ended up paralyzing him 9 yrs later even after not being diagnosed with it and was a normal dog for 9yrs. We aubmitted every single record, finding xray and MRI to help cover the $10,000 vet bill. They said no I asked for the death benefit and after being insured for 2 yrs paying them almost $3,000 they didnt even want to help $200 for the cremation. Until I came accross PetsBest and I have never been so satisfied with Pet insurance til I filed my wellness plan claim and received my reimbursement in about 2 weeks if Im not mistaken. The ease of the process not having to do back and forth phonecalls, missed calls etc. I sent a scan of the vet bill and got my reimbursement. Done. Easy as 1, 2, 3. I highly recommend this company as it is very affordable and they are very communicative and the reimbursement is easy and fast.

Pets Best has been terrific

I shopped around and checked out the competition. For me, Pets Best had the best overall cost and coverage. Our previous carrier’s price was significantly higher and had a more complex claim submission process.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
