BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!!

I have been with this company for many years for my 3 dogs. Every year the price increases several hundred dollars per dog eventhough there has been no major issues. My 11 yo dog had a mass growing on his cheek and the vet determined that he has an infection in his gums and 2 teeth needed to be removed. Prior to this, the vet did not see any issues with his mouth/teeth. We had the surgery for him and removed the 2 teeth. I filed the claim and it was completely denied because they said I had to have had his teeth cleaned 13 months before this issue, not the same day as the surgery. Well if I could have forseen the future to know that he would have issues with him gums/teeth, I would have. They said anything going forward regarding any issues with his teeth or gums would not be covered at all. Sooo I am paying over $1000 per dog per year for what exactly??? Plus a $500 deductible. At this point, I do not even spend $1500 yearly on any health issues. This company used to be good but unfortunately has gotten greedy and is putting profit over care of animals.

Great Insurance

My dog needed surgery, and I panicked thinking about dealing with insurance for her. I was very happy with everything, from submitting the claims to the resolution. Everyone I interacted with was super helpful and polite, and the claims were processed quickly. It was all so quick and easy.. I'm happy to have this insurance for her.

PICK LITERALLY ANY OTHER INSURANCE

Claim time is ridiculous when I signed up I was told two weeks average for claim payout. Well as you can see by their robotic response to anyone who leaves less than a 5 star review “claim time takes 39-45 days”. That is a scam.

I have found Pet's Best easy to deal…

I have found Pet's Best easy to deal with and fair as my dog ages and has more medical bills. They have been a little slower on reimbursement since Covid disrupted us, but most communication can be done via the Pet's Best web-site. PB calls the vet as needed for clarification.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
