They are expensive but also they take…

They are expensive but also they take FOREVER to pay out claims. Over a month on multiple charges. My dog is dealing with cancer and the treatments are very expensive so out of pocket and waiting 4 weeks for a claim is ridiculous. I would cancel if I could but never again will I use them.

Select another company.

I have 3 dogs with medical conditions covered under PB. My dog pack has been covered for 4 years with this company. In the last year their abilities to serve their customers in a timely and efficient manner has declined to the point they deny almost every claim immediately claiming they need more information from the vet or specialist. As an insurance company that's been active for so many years, the last year showed me that this company would not be one I recommend to others unless you want to spend days and weeks (even months) fighting for PB to acknowledge your claim is valid. The last 4 I submitted were denied. I sent them the same paperwork as originally sent, and within days of the same paperwork they paid on all 4 claims. Beware of this company if you're not used to dealing with healthcare, or insurance companies. ETA: spelling errors

This is my first experience with Pet Insurance. I have been very satisfied with the ease of enrollment as well as the process of submitting a claim. Response was immediate and I am expecting my reimbursement in 3-5 days.

Great Insurance with Affordable Premium

Pets Best is a great insurance and always no hassle whenever I submit a claim. The premium rate is very affordable and gives me a confident that my baby Momo will always be covered when she gets sick. I am so glad I chose Pets Best for my Baby Momo. SCAM - DO NOT USE

They will take your money and respond to communication, until you meet the deductible, and need something expensive like surgery Then the injury is suddenly ineligible (even though all previous expenses for this same injury were eligible) and they won't respond to you and will leave you on hold if you call. DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
