Great…..except!

Payment of claim is great even though takes over 30 days often. Support needs improving as being on hold for30-45 minutes is more the rule not the exception. In spite of some shortcomings I would recommend PetsBest at this time

I have had little to no issue with pets…

I have had little to no issue with pets best as far as coverage, but they take at minimum one month to complete the claims. I expected a faster turn around based on what they advertise.

DO NOT even entertain this company

DO NOT even entertain this company. They take months to process any claim and increased my premiums and added new rules about existing conditions after one year. Filing a major complaint with the insurance board!

My first time to submit a claim

My first time to submit a claim, they send me emails to give me updates, reassuring me that they are working on my claim and due to Covid they are not able to expedite the process however, I think the whole process was still within a reasonable time. Over all I am a satisfied customer!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
