Don't Waste Your $ on Pet Insurance!

I insured my dog and cat for 12 years with Nationwide. I regret that I did. It was a waste of money. I never made a claim for the cat, but the dog had several surgeries after she turned 10. She had three benign tumors removed. Then she developed lymphoma and had a fourth surgery. Her ultimate, fatal condition was a trigeminal nerve sheaf tumor, which was inoperable. She died August 1. I paid them thousands of dollars over the years. Between $15,000-20,000 for the two animals. The reimbursements were a small fraction of my costs for care. At one point, she had a tumor removed from her eyelid. The bill: $3,500. The reimbursement: about $700. What's the point of paying for insurance when the coverage is so miniscule? I would have saved thousands of dollars by having no insurance at all.

Couldn't just sign up for accident…

Couldn't just sign up for accident insurance. I don't know if that was my fault or that you can't just sign up for accident insurance. Also I tried to login to my new account three times and was unsuccessful. I don't know if it's because we have an annuity with you as well.
