Claims are handled timely

I am thrilled with the ease of submission of a claim and we have received our checks within a week! Also, since we have the insurance a visit to the emergency vet is less daunting. I recommend to all my friends with pets!

So easy to work with

Every time I have to submit a claim, a pang of anxiety hits. But every single time I submit a claim I think, “wow! That was so easy!!” I am finally at the point where I look forward to submitting claims!

I have been

I have been with Nationwide for 17 years. They are the absolute best and I recommended them to my Vet for all her patients. When my first dog passed away at age 16 they were immediate support, even calling me to see how I was doing. They are unbelievable and streamline, an added bonus in this day and age of unprofessional entities.

Nationwide Pet Insurance has been a Godsend and a pleasure to work with!

I've experienced exceptional service using Nationwide pet insurance. First off, the automated system makes it very simple and pain free to make a claim. Second, the program's administrators are completely fair in their claims decision-making processes. They are open to input from you and your pet's doctor and have been fair and generous in every claim that we have submitted. Working with Nationwide has been a pleasure and, is in many ways, a smoother and easier process than working with my own medical insurance. I highly recommend investing in your pet by purchasing Nationwide's Pet insurance.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
