I was skeptical but now I'm a fan of Nationwide

Our 3 year old Japanese Spitz has had more than his share of injuries and also has eaten a couple of things we needed to get checked out. He also had to have some minor surgery. The claims were simple to file online after scanning in or uploading an image, and were paid promptly. I do find this insurance to be worthwhile.

Best decision ever

I am so pleased with my pet insurer. I appreciate the ability to have affordable insurance for my fur babies. Every claim I have submitted is reviewed in a timely manner. I will always have my pets insured with Nationwide Pet Insurance.

Best Insurance!

This is my first experience with pet insurance and it's been extremely positive. The website is easy to navigate and submitting a claim is efficient and quick, as well as the turn around of processing the claim happens so quickly.

Great Experience so far!

This has been a great experience so far. We have a wellness plan and it's been well worth it, caring for our puppy. I also appreciate that added comfort knowing that he is covered in so many circumstances. The only thing that I think would make it easier is if claims could be submitted through an app, but it's been very easy overall. Thank you!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
