Good Coverage is a Thing of the Past

I have Nationwide Whole Pet with Wellness insurance coverage on my Havanese. It is expensive and I may not be able to keep up with the increasing premium much longer. It seemed worth the cost at first because they covered her laparoscopic spay and her first teeth cleaning at 90% after the initial $250 deductibles were met. (The procedures were done in different years.) I’m getting another dog, but they no longer offer the plan I have on my Havanese. It seems that Insurance companies are focusing on major medical issues rather than wellness hoping that they won’t have to pay out. It’s sad that properly caring for pets is becoming cost prohibitive.

Martha was very friendly and helpful!

Martha was very friendly and helpful. She thoroughly explained the process. Unfortunately, my little doggie passed away. I am very grateful to everyone at Nationwide. The service I received for her health insurance was top notch!

If I could give Zero stars I would

If I could give Zero stars I would. This company seems to go ABOVE and beyond to DENY any claims they can. They have been awful to my mom and have tried to tie different vet visits together to claim they all had to do with a pre-existing condition, which by the medical notes from the vet herself and basic logic, had nothing to do with it. They will go above and beyond to deny your claim, but give you the run around when you want to file an appeal, which honestly, they are going to end up denying anyways and waste your time and money. Buyers beware, do not purchase pet insurance from Nationwide, it's a waste of money and time. I would be ashamed to be a part of this organization, and I can only imagine what getting other types of insurance through them is like... terrifying.

Kudos to a fine customer service rep!

I would like to commend your customer care phone representative, " Carl". He was extremely efficient, and also very patient about my concerns. I called because I had to update payment information,as my bank debit card had been lost. I was worried that my monthly premiums would be denied for the account as payable to Nationwide. However, Carl was able to supply all my previous information, and then record the updated data. He was very knowledgeable and supportive. I thank him. I hope his superiors will note my appreciation and share with him. Thank you! Marguerite Karner 8- 1- 22.
