Dropped after 8 years of loyalty

I have had Nationwide Pet Insurance for 5 different pets since 2016. Every year they have raised my premium on all of my pets policies, some even going up over 100% a year. I have kept paying it and not complained because if anything happens to my pets I will have peace of mind and be able to do everything in my power to take care of them. I have never missed a payment on any policy. I work in veterinary medicine and have sung Nationwides praises to clients. Today I got a letter that the Whole Pet with Wellness plan that I've had for years is no longer profitable for them and they are not renewing my pets policies after this period expires. The thing about pet insurance that makes this so unfair is that no pet insurance covers pre-existing conditions, so any medical issue they have had their whole lives will not be covered under any new insurance plan they get. I have done the right thing by my pets for years and years only to have the rug pulled out from under me by a multi million dollar company. This is why people don't trust pet insurance. I don't know what the answer is but this isn't it. I will never recommend Nationwide to anyone ever again.

NATIONWIDE BEST PET INSURANCE

I have been using Nationwide ever since we adopted our Princess (Cavapoo). They are an excellent company. I go to the Vet than I take a picture of my invoice and submit for payment and they pay it in a few days. Great service.

I could not be more pleased with…

I could not be more pleased with Nationwide Pet Insurance. We had a miniature poodle that lived to be almost 17 years old. We had Nationwide insurance for about 9 of those years. Every claim was paid quickly, and we never had any bad surprises with them. Our poodle died two weeks ago after a short term illness. Nationwide representatives were kind and compassionate, and handled all the final expenses. There was even a death benefit for burial or cremation that I didn't expect. We just received a nice card from Nationwide expressing their condolences. If we ever get another pet, I will definitely use Nationwide.

Horrible insurance

Horrible insurance. I have been using them for years. Recently one of my dogs was diagnosed with cancer which required removal of a large tumor. Testing and surgery cost approximately 7k. Nationwide would only cover 1200.

Since Nationwide changed to Petinsurance.com I have not had a good experience with them.

since the first of the year I started having problems getting my claims processed, When the price of Vetsulin went up from 69 dollars to 71 dollars. I asked why they informed me that they need proof of my 13 year old Diabetic dogs Vetsulin price increase. I sent the email from Chewy where we get our Vetsulin why the price went up as they asked this was May 1st.... Today I went out to I have sent proof of Vetsulin increase. I went to the site to check status of the claims that have been denied… and all claims seem to have had no changes or no actions taken… I will start next week investigating a new pet insurance company. Since Nationwide has changed to petinsurance.com it seems that company have dropped its loyalty to pet owners. I have been a member since 2017.. This is not a good way to treat your loyal customers. Why should a customer be loyal to the company if the company is not loyal to the customer.
