Premiums might be a tad high, but customer and claim services are awesome! We recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance all the time to friends and family who have pets.

Complete Satisfaction

I decided to protect my pup when I received her at 4 weeks old. I invested in Nationwide Pet Insurance and have been extremely satisfied since. Gracie Lou has had normal visits, i.e. vaccinations, teeth cleaning and thank goodness, no severe medical issues. When I started with NPI, I had to mail the claim in. I'm in Thibodaux. NPI is in California. Patiently, I waited and was reimbursed what I was entitled to according to policy. What I am extremely happy about is the latest "online claim" and payment results in less than a week!!! Kudos to you....and to me. I am very pleased with the bank transactions regarding the payment procedure. I love receiving news about pets in general, safety issues and tips, etc. I would like to enter the sweepstakes, but I don't know many pet owners that want to invest in pup coverage. So without friends to recommend, I cannot enter. Too bad. Now since I enrolled in NPI, my premium as gone up. THAT, I DO NOT LIKE. So if at all possible, please keep the premium at a minimum low. If this gets too expensive and the economy continues to go down, I will be forced to stop as i have other priorities financially speaking to meet. Overall, thanks for a great experience, satisfaction highly met. Good day.

Fast, Convenient, Excellent Service

Pet Insurance is all relatively new for my husband and I this year and we couldn't be happier with selecting Nationwide Pet Insurance. Their customer service line is always available to help in guiding us with claims to process and providing us with other resources like the vethelpline, who assisted in directing us to great care facilities and advise for our fur-baby when she was not feeling well. Processing claims from visits to the vet was easy and convenient through the VitusVet app. I received processed claims in a week. Overall, selecting Nationwide was the best decision my husband and I have made for our fur-baby.

Happy with Nationwide

Over the last 15 years, I have had 6 dogs insured by Nationwide. I have never had any issues. My claims get processed within a very reasonable amount of time.

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
