Nationwide Con Artists

Our dogs policy was cancelled supposedly due to not being cost effective. Therefore, I had to enroll her as a new policy and now they will not cover pre-existing conditions that they themselves had already covered for the last 4 years. I have been a loyal customer with all of my pets for over 15 years. I believe this was a scheme they made up so all existing customers pets would no longer be covered and save them money. The coverage is the exact same as what my dog had before with just a different name, and no pressure-existing conditions of course. I am now canceling and going with another provider who will cover her and will care about my pet. Nationwide I think conned everyone, when really it was all to get more money.

Amazing Rep, Disappointing Options

My representative was absolutely great. Loved him. If I could review him separately, he'd get 5-stars without question. He was very personable and helpful throughout the whole process and took the time to explain anything I had questions on. However, I feel that the options for pet insurance plans have significantly dropped in quality and coverage, especially after having my grandfathered-in whole pet w/ wellness policies (3 pets) cancelled (like so many others did, I'm sure). Am I still going to insure my pets? Yes, because I love and care for them. But am I also greatly upset by the severe downgrade in coverage and care? Yes. I cannot express in words the sheer level of disappointed I am with this shift. This has definitely taken a shift toward accident-only coverage and it's highly disappointing that my pets are now treated more like a car than a living being.

My agent was Elaine and she was very thorough, very professional and very kind. I called to only get a quote, but after speaking with her, I purchased pet insurance for both of my birds. Elaine is an asset to your company. Very pleased!
