Claim process is so easy.

Tucker spent 2 days at our vet with an intestinal infection. The day I picked him up I took a picture of the vet invoice and sent it in from my phone. Nationwide makes it so easy to file a claim and are very helpful when you have a question.

Saved My Dog's Life

I got the top-tier insurance option because I'm a worry wart, and I'm so glad I did. My dog ate a bunch of raisins and the vet recommended a two-day hospital stay. The insurance had no problem issuing a reimbursement for this. I don't know what i would have done without it.

Glad I got insurance for my dog

Nationwide (friendlier as former VPI) is timely enough with reimbursing insurance claims. I really only have one complaint. I just received email saying: "We're glad we could help out with the cost of the visit!" excuse me?! You're not "helping out". I pay a pretty high premium to make sure I can afford to keep my girl healthy. You're not "helping out with the cost". More like fulfilling your end of the contract. And surely that is much is appreciated.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
