Recently Confirmed Why I Chose Nationwide

At first I was not sure how the experience was going to go. We had some pre-existing conditions on our puppy's policy and a few claim issues where I was frustrated, but recently they have worked with us and been responsive and proved why I decided to go with them in the first place. Excellent service, and I am very happy with the way they have handled our policy.

Great benefits and claims pay out turn around time

I purchased the full medical policy when I adopted my Dunkin at age 8 weeks back in September 2016. Of course puppies that age have a lot of medical claims in their first year of life - from vaccinations, to neuter/spay, preventative like ticks, heart-worm medications, blood test etc. I only had to pay the $250 deductible and all of my claims have been 90% reimbursed and I received a check in the mail within 2 weeks of my submission. I have nothing but a great experience with this Insurance Company and will renew my Policy without a doubt.

Amazing

After we lost our Saint Bernard to a serious illness we rescued our Rory from someone who didn't exactly treat her the right way. Turns out, Rory has some problems! Due to our coverage we were able to avoid financial ruin/sending a 3 month old dog to her 5th home. From preventative care, getting spayed and some emergency situations (she loves eating remote controls, shoes and books while we are working) Rory is taken care of. We can confidently get her the care she needs while knowing that we won't go broke trying to help her.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
