Great reimbursement

We have the pet wellness/250 deductible/90% reimbursement for our coverage for our bulldog, Dozer. He has had 3 surgeries; (neuter/gastropexy, eyelid, benign tumor removal) in his 1 1/2 years of life, in addition to his regular health check ups and immunizations. This insurance has been fantastic and really saved us in expenses so far. I was hesitant to get insurance for a dog, but in light of having spent thousands on vet bills for our last English bulldog (lived 11 years), my vet strongly recommended it, and we're glad she did.

Checked other plans best on market by no means

I have 3 great plans, I chose the best plan just in case of an accident or sickness, Nationwide has always come through to being on top of all my needs. Anybody that needs a plan this is the one for you. Thank you Nationwide

Peace of mind and then some

Our eight month old puppy broke his leg and then two weeks later required a second surgery. The expense was tremendous but with Nationwide we knew we could seek the absolute best surgeon and veterinary care. Yesterday he had his discharge radiograph and he is on his way to full recovery. We have insured all our pets with Nationwide/VPI for more than 15 years. They have, on EVERY occasion, been there, no questions asked, with fantastic customer services, benefits as promised and seeming genuine care. Our dogs and our family are truly grateful.

BEST DECISION EVER!! (after getting a dog of course)

This is the second best decision we've ever made after choosing to get a dog. Nationwide offers great coverage and great customer service. I can offer my dog the best care I can possibly can, knowing Nationwide has my back and will reimburse me for the vast majority of our bill. We have the full coverage that may seem expensive at first but in the long run completely worth it.

Neuter & gastropexy

I am beyond impressed! I chose this company because they are the only ones that cover the gastropexy. After I filed my claim I received my refund in record time! I couldn't be happier! I recommend to everyone I know that has pets.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
