Made the right choice!

I decided to invest in pet insurance for my dog a couple of years ago and has really paid off. I had to take my dog to the Emergency Vet a few weeks ago because of complications, I submitted my claim the next day and my refund was deposited less than 30 days later. It's a great peace of mind as our pets get older, they are like family and should get the best care they can and having pet insurance makes it more affordable.

Prompt Reimbursement

Our dog had 2 major procedures done and we knew it would be over $1000. My husband and I weren't concerned about coming up with that much money because we knew 90% would be covered under our plan. I signed up for the paperless account so the money would arrive faster and it did...in about a week after I processed the claim. We have never had insurance on a dog before but we got it on Gordie when he was just a puppy and we've always had good experiences in getting reimbursement. It takes a lot of stress away - thank you!

Reliable, awesome insurance

Claims are incredibly simple to file with the VitusVet app, and the turnaround time is always well under the projected timeframe. I have the policy that covers wellness in addition to emergencies/injuries. Glad I have the expanded policy, as the neutering, flea and heart worm pills, and more are covered.

Fantastic

Little Nugget had an appointment for his annual Wellness Check. He received his required vaccinations. I submitted A claim with his itemized receipt and was reimbursed. Thanks Nationwide!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
