I'm so glad I have Nationwide Pet Insurance

I'm very thankful that I have enrolled both of my dogs in Nationwide Pet Insurance. After having years where our older beagle hardly had any health issues, it seems to be one thing after another this year. The claim process is painless. I really can't complain about the service. Thanks, Nationwide!

So Thankful for Pet Insurance!!

I've had Pet Insurance for over 13 years and it has served me well many many times! Most recently I adopted a rescue about 2 years ago named Olaf and he's a hot mess of DNA (Miniature Poodle, Toy Fox Terrier, Shi-tzu and Min Pin - I call him my Foxy Poo Pin-tzu). Cute as can be but the poor guy has been through the ringer! Last year, he was attacked by a neighborhood dog and thankfully didn't have anything broken or internal bleeding but he did have sever muscle trauma where he was bit twice. Nationwide covered 100% of the cost of his treatment. This year, he has had some very strange issues. Most recently, at his annual visit they found very high levels of protein in his urine. Multiple test and several treatments later it cleared up. Then about a month later he started vomiting for no apparently reason. For about a week he was vomiting and had diarrhea multiple times a day. The vet ran multiple tests even one looking for Addison's disease which thankfully came back negative. We could never find any concrete reason for his issues and it stopped as mysteriously as it began. Needless to say with both of those issues so close together his vet bills were over $1000. After my $250 deductible he was covered at 100% of the additional costs. Having had several dogs, I always get them insured and recommend keeping them insured for their whole lives. I still have one (Otis) going strong after 13 years and keeping his insurance up helped when he had a sarcoma removed a few years ago. You can't get insurance for a senior dog once they become a senior so I highly recommend getting when they are young and keeping it throughout their lives. You will be grateful you did!!
