Great insurance for rescue pets with unknown background!

I got insurance through Nationwide for my two rescue dogs and it's been a lifesaver! You never know what health history an animal has and one of my dogs is in and out of the vet fairly frequently for a slew of things. It puts my mind at ease that Nationwide has our back, especially since vet bills get so expensive so quickly. Thanks to Nationwide I'm able to opt for more thorough care and treatment for my dogs!

Life Saving

Having insurance is a life saver. I've had Nationwide (formerly VPI) since 2001 and will always have insurance for my animals. It a few hundred dollars a year for insurance is less expensive that a huge vet bill.

Best decision to protect our dog!

Our dog Jack is now 12 years old and has been covered by My Pet Insurance since he was a few weeks old. Jack is an active dog , running while we hike or cross country ski, and always ready to run after his frisbee. He has had surgeries for two torn ACLs. Jack is also affected by a type of dermatitis that requires daily medication. Working with MPI for reimbursement has been very easy, no fuss. Staff has been great at explaining the process, and reimbursement quick to obtain. Good quality service by professional staff.

Best Support Team

We have had Nationwide for several years. This is second pet and as always, Nationwide has been there to cover almost all the expense of care. With the routine care necessary for wellness assurance and for the emergency unexpected events. A true steadfast support team.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
