So happy I was smart enough to get such Great insurance!

My 13 year old Maltese was diagnosed with cancer on her chin in Feb. We were referred to an oncologist. After 6 radiation and 1 chemo treatment, many MRI's, ultrasounds and medicines, her oncologist told us she is one of her success stories. We are so happy she is doing so well. We are also happy we were smart enough to have Nationwide Insurance on her. Her vet bills were really high and Nationwide covered her. We were grateful every amount they reimbursed us. Unfortunately, Nationwide does not cover testing and there was a lot of that. If they had offered it, we would have purchased it. Nationwide covered so much! We are very pleased.

I still have many outstanding claims.

I have had much success with Nationwide. But unfortunately, many failures. I have 5 still outstanding claims. One of which, I have submitted now 3 times, that still does not appear as an outstanding claim. When I call them, they are very helpful, courteous and professional. But if I just deal with them via e-mail and/or fax - my claims are in the dark, not knowing much on their status.

Second best decision I’ve ever made since adopting Munchkin was my first

Making the decisions to purchase pet insurance was a first for us. We never carried this type of coverage in the past. As most pet parents, we have experienced high vet bills for a variety of health issues or preventative care. So we took the plunge and shopped coverage. All quotes came in within a few days, and frankly Nationwide’s quote was a bit higher in cost. Approx. $150.00 higher premium annually than the highest competitor. However, Nationwide was a familiar company. I actually own an insurance brokerage selling business P&C. You could say, I understand coverage varies from carrier to carrier, and I tell my clients, price is a consideration, but coverage is the determiner. Not only was Nationwide a name I trusted, but when I compared coverage line for line, the benefits with Nationwide left the other carriers far behind. So we chose Nationwide. And I haven’t looked back. Nationwide is just outstanding. From the 24 hour hotline, to claim reimbursement, the process is easy and customer service exceeds expectations. Munchkin gets the care she needs, we get peace of mind, knowing that whatever Munchkin’s health needs are, we can afford to get it for her. Bottom line. What is peace of mind and a healthy pet worth? Priceless. Nationwide Pet Insurance makes all this possible.

Easy to file claims and a quick reimbursement

Nationwide is great. I’ve used the insurance about 4 times in the 3 years that I’ve had it and have never thought about canceling. It’s peace of mind knowing that if a big expense was to arise, I’d have the insurance to reimburse me.
