Best decision hands down

At first I was hesitant to buy a policy. After reviewing I'm very happy I bought the wellness plan for my two puppies. Without Nationwide our 14 month dog wouldn't be where she is today. Unfortunately she had early hip dysplasia. Nationwide was there to help and they covered 90% of everything. They're a reputable company. Always friendly and helpful to my family. Highly recommend them to my friends, family, and others

Greatful for the financial assistance, thank you Nationwide

I couldn't say enough about Nationwide. We have a Boxer that is 18 months old, that all of sudden quit using her back leg, and had a small bump . It was a month of X-Ray's and test, when diagnosis with Valley Fever. The vet bills we're mounting, and Nationwide was there for us. This disease is a long haul, not knowing how long it will take to cure,

I love NATIONWIDE

Nationwide is the best. This is my first time having insurance on my dogs and I love it. Yorkies are known for bad teeth and just the teeth cleaning alone has allowed me to get their teeth twice a year and it pays 90% after I meet the deductible. Then their well care visits are covered as well. Any time they have an emergency, once the deductible is met, it pays for 90%. LOVE LOVE LOVE this insurance. I will not ever not insure my pets again

They reimburse almost everything

I have had this insurance for my dog for 3.5 years and recently insured my kittens through this company. They have covered everything from medications to surgeries and emergency visits. There have been some things that they don’t cover and they only remiburse a set amount every year for flea/tick prevention but other than that my only complaints are that I have to front the cost of treatment (which is that way for any pet insurance I have researched) and that recently it is taking longer to get reimbursed (the last 3 claims took almost 4 weeks for reimbursement- their policy says it could take that long - but I had previously been reimbursed much sooner (1-2 weeks) so I’m not sure why it’s taking longer.) My dog’s recent visit to the emergency room was fully reimbursed per my plan. It just took longer than I was expecting (due to previous reimbursement times) I’m very happy with this company so far as they seem to have the best coverage and reimbursement that i have researched and have recommended it to friends and family.

Great Pet Insurance

Both our breeder and our vet recommended Nationwide (previously VPI) when we got our pup almost 7 years ago. Nationwide has been great, unfortunately we've had more health issues than I would have hoped but having insurance provides peace of mind when making decisions about treatment. We highly recommend Nationwide.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
