Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

So far we have been very happy with the coverage that our policy provides. My only complaint is that it takes a long time from the time a claim is received to when we receive payment. Other than that, the coverage has been a great thing for both routine care costs as well as when the unexpected, larger health issue needs to be treated.

Our experience with Nationwide in Trying to care for 5 dogs, 4 of which are rescue dogs, has been phenomenal. The ease of submitting a claim online and the timeliness of when the claims are paid is better than we could have expected. Thank you!

It was a complete shock when my adopted 1+ year old puppy, yorkie-schnauzer mix, needed emergency surgery for stones. When I was told (by the surgeon) the cost of the procedure and tests and followup, nearly $3,000, I was distressed, yet I knew there was no choice in the matter. I told them I had pet insurance, but was not sure if the procedure would be covered. My vet, and the surgeon, submitted the paperwork to Nationwide. And within 3-4 weeks, I was surprised with a very very nice reimbursement. It was not my total cost, but it was per the policy and deductibles. Nationwide kept me posted and informed on the claim regularly. Since then, I have been recommending this pet insurance to all my friends. On a scale of 1-10, I would give Nationwide a 9 or 10. . Very very excellent.

Excellent policy reimbursement but premium is so high.

I would recommend Nationwide to other pet owners. Also great for car and home.
