Great Service but slow response time

I think Nationwide provides great coverage at a reasonable price. My only problem is the response time. It takes almost an entire month for me to get reimbursed for my claim. If the reimbursement process could be faster that would make the overall service amazing.

Very Good pet insurance

They are very good, responsive and their website is very user friendly. The only reason I am not giving them 10 paws is because I wish there was a more affordable plan that would cover wellness care. Other than that Nation Wide is great!

Nationwide has been on my side when needed for my pets

I had VPI for almost 8 years when Nationwide took over the company. To say the least, I was quite concerned about the the change. So far, so good I haven't had any ugly surprises and coverage for the kids has saved me from going into serious debt several times.

This insurance has been a life saver.

Our dog had to get surgery on both of her knees. If we didn't have this insurance we may have had to consider putting her to sleep.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
