I’m very impressed and thankful we chose nationwide for our pet.

They are very receptive and helpful every step of the way. I feel like we’ve had quite a few issues arise that we never expected, but we are so thankful we were prepared for them. I’m so thankful we chose this pet insurance. Thank you!

Very good coverage and fast response

I have all 5 of my dogs covered with Nationwide, and, since Nationwide has taken over the former provider, customer service and response time have improved dramatically. Coverage is affordable; it's like all other insurance, it seems expensive until you need it! They pay claims quickly and EOBs are easy to understand. I plan to always have my "fur family" insured with Nationwide.

Always very helpful customer service

Insurance is overwhelming. Never quite know if getting best bang for your buck, or if spending money without getting opportunity to redeem when necessary. Have found CS to be very good when claim was not submitted correctly by my Vet or missing information. Made it easy to get the information together for reimbursment.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
