Prompt Reimbursement

My boxer had a corneal ulcer that took multiple trips to the vets for treatment. I sent Nationwide all my receipts and they promptly reimbursed me for all costs (I have the ultimate plan for my dog). Thank you, Nationwide. Pet insurance is a must have!!

Excellent Overall Service

I gave you guys an 8 rating. I did this because of the time it takes for you to process claims. I have had Nationwide Pet Insurance for my dog for most of his life. Thanks to you and the insurance I have, I get a feeling that my vet bills aren't outrageously expensive. Sometimes, however I just wish the review of claims and the process would be faster from submittal to payment. Anyway, I'm glad I have insurance on my dog and glad that I have Nationwide.

Very delayed claims

Though I love having coverage and getting the refund the claims are taking way too long to process which leaves me without the money for weeks...almost a month. Is there anything that can be done to increase the process time?

Great Coverage

Nationwide has great coverage for my boys when they are under the weather. The only thing I'm not so crazy about is how long it takes to get reimbursed.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
