Eager to classify anything as a pre-existing condition
We received a Corgi puppy on the day our insurance coverage was scheduled to start - July 1. When we took him to the vet the following day, the vet discovered a Urinary Tract Infection and prescribed antibiotics plus a follow-up urinalysis. Nationwide refused to cover those expenses as pre-existing conditions, even though the puppy had never seen a veterinarian before.
Hopefully the service improves from here. I do like that Nationwide is covering preventative care like heart worm and flea prevention meds through their Wellness coverage.
