Long Wait

The claim process submission should be easier than having to print and scan paper. Even being able to save a pdf of the form would be helpful rather than having to print it, sign, scan it back in to email. Thankfully, there is an auto response to let me know if was received. Then, there is a wait. I've only had 3-4 claims and each has taken a month or more to process. Then, it seems that time was used to have me repeatedly send records so that "something" could be found. After "things" were found, these became pre-existing conditions. Here, it would be helpful to have some warning- I would have been happy to explain each "thing" that was found. But on your terms, the vet must write a report. She did. Now, waiting and waiting to hear back. No information on the web site except the word: Processing.

Good

Wish they would pay for presentation dog and cat food. Also would like to see it easier to file claim on the internet. Had to go back to paper and mail as was to complicated.

Best Thing I’ve Ever Done For My Dog!

My dog, Sam, has had health issues as a puppy and after the first ACL surgery in August 2017 at the age of 4, our vet recommended pet insurance for him. After doing some research and pricing comparisons, we decided to go with Nationwide. Best thing I’ve done for him! I’m not hesitant to take him to the vet (Sam would tell you otherwise!) knowing I have Nationwide in my corner.

Recommendation for Nationwide Pet Insurance.

I have owned Shelties for the past 25 years and lost my first two to cancer. I did not have insurance and it cost thousands in veterinary bills. I decided to get insurance with my third; she was a rescue. I now have my fourth and he is also a rescue. I am very happy with Nationwide! My vet’s office faxes my claims in for me so there’s little I have to do. The other insurance company I had for my previous pet (never filed a claim) didn’t acknowledge her passing with a card or a note. I appreciate Nationwide looking in on how my pet is doing and hope I only have to use the insurance for regular check-up’s and dental cleanings. I love my babies and promise to give them a happy and healthy life!
