Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

Great service. So far having my pet insurance has really paid off. However every time I try to set up online services with my phone it won't keep the numbers I enter, and it won't let me continue without them.

Navigating any insurance company and the claims process takes time and feels as though there were a lot of issues along the way. If you are in the business of customer care, please take the time to review the process for a new customer to submit a claim, navigate the different systems and apps to get payment. For example, you provide an easy way to submit the receipts on an app, but it is a 3rd party app and required me to make 2 calls to get it set up properly. I have never had to call for help to set up an app before! And the Nationwide rep wouldn't help me at all - but referred me to the 3rd party. Then payment comes from Chase online, which was another set up of an account, linking to my bank, etc. Once all of that is set up, things work. But goodness it is a LOT of work to get it to that point. And now I have to someone remember all of this for the next claim that may not come for several months.

This is the first time we've experienced pet insurance and I'm so so happy I signed up earlier this year. We had no idea we'd need to use this for our dog, Sophie and hip surgery. The transactions were smooth and painless. Thank you so much.

I just think it takes WAY too long to get reimbursed after submitting claims.

I've had VPI/Nationwide insurance on my dogs for the last 15 - 17 years. It has been a comfort to know if they have to have any kind of vet visit that there isn't a financial concern to obtain the best care possible for them.
