Insurance is paying off

It's hard to know whether pet insurance is worth it, but when we've needed it, Nationwide Pet Insurance has come through. It's also easy to submit claims, which we really appreciate.

HORRIBLE

My dog had minimal dental buildup so they wouldn't cover her dental cleaning. Every animal has SOME tartar. It is not a CONDITION. It is LIFE. They steal your money. DO NOT RECOMMEND. It took them 4 months to finally review the invoices. 2 months after they received her records. SLOW SERVICE and vague descriptions of previous conditions.

Nationwide Pet Insurance is the most thoughtful and easy insurance I have ever dealt with.

Nationwide is very simple to work with. All forms are online and everything is electronic. They have great explanation of benefits and has covered my baby now for 2 years. This is the best insurance company that I have ever dealt with.

Thank you for covering our beloved Bella, she went through quite a bit during her lifetime and you were always so very helpful. Bella lived a very full life and was such a joy to have her as part of our family. Sadly, she passed away last week and we have missed her tremendously! OUTSTANDING!!!

Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected Nationwide to pay for the majority of Montana's hospitalization, surgery and meds. I am so very happy that I took out this insurance plan for him. Never would I have believed that he would require surgery at such a young age (23 months). He is doing fantastic. I do have to watch him like a hawk so that he doesn't pick up anything in the yard especially deer or rabbit poop. That's what got him in so much trouble. Thank you again for a wonderful pet insurance.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
