Very delayed claims

Though I love having coverage and getting the refund the claims are taking way too long to process which leaves me without the money for weeks...almost a month. Is there anything that can be done to increase the process time?

Great Coverage

Nationwide has great coverage for my boys when they are under the weather. The only thing I'm not so crazy about is how long it takes to get reimbursed.

They cover everything I’ve needed, and super easy to work with!

Nationwide saved me when my 2 year old German Shepherd needed ACL surgery. They covered 90% of the xrays, surgery and medications. They also cover his flea and tick medication! I will always have my pets on the complete wellness plain with Nationwide! They are nothing but the best!! I tell everyone about them!

Claims take over a months still ongoing

I have the whole pet with wellness package for my Boston terrier puppy. My puppy has allergies and he has been receiving allergy shots. The first allergy shot he got was reimbursed but the following one and the one after that is still pending reimbursement. I submitted my claim in July, it is October right now. The only reason why I am giving this insurance a 5 star is because My pups neuter was covered and the claim came through quicker than I thought it would.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
