Second ACL Tear

Our dog just had her second ACL tear (left leg). She tore her right ACL two years ago. Nationwide has been great - we have received nearly 75-80% back from what the veterinary charges were. We are THANKSFUL for having Nationwide insurance! I will tell anyone that will listen about how well we have been treated.

Thanks for checking in on Jasmine

Jasmine is a spirited girl who is very active. She should have a cape as I think she flies some days. She pulled a muscle and was under the weather, no appetite, lethargic, and not herself at all., A quick trip to the vet and some medication and she is back to her playful self again. I am so happy we have Nationwide!

Well worth the cost of the plan for the benefits we have received.

I hear a lot of people comment that pet insurance is not worth the cost of the plan. For us, this has not been the case. We've had several unexpected veterinarian costs with our dog and the cost of the plan has more than paid for itself. It's been nice to know we're not on our own when it comes to these very costly bills. The processing time is reasonable, too.

Reliable

Been a pet insurance holder with Nationwide for six years and have had a few major medical situations with both my sensitive dogs. The insurance coverage is phenomenal. I have no stress with financial situations thanks to the coverage I chose.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
