So Thankful to have Insurance!

When we decided to get a second Great Dane, I knew we had to have insurance. Unfortunately after only having insurance for three months, my new puppy developed a mass and needed surgery. Nationwide has been so great and fast with the reimbursements. I am so thankful we got insurance, it was the best decision ever!

Efficient

We have been very happy with Nationwide. It may take several weeks for a claim to be processed but have never had any issues submitting them and getting reimbursed. The direct deposit process is very easy. Thank you for all you do for our two pups.

Could be better

Whenever my cat needs to have a follow up with the vet, I have to wait months at a time to get reimbursement. Meanwhile, I have to pay it off on my credit card. Which is 19% each month nationwide is setting on it. My co-worker uses a different company, and she gets her reimbursement within a week. If the company needs more info from the vet, they call the vet themselves. Each year monthly premiums seem to be rising to 20% more a year which is super high from my point of view. When I first open my policy, there was a 1% rise in premiums. I might be looking into different policies, this coming year.

Amazing!

We recently had our Berner steal and swallow a steak bone. After visiting the vet and learning how serious (and expensive) treatment would be, it was comforting to know that we could give our dog the care he needed without breaking the bank before the holidays. Thank you Nationwide!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
