Having Nationwide Pet Insurance enables us to provide the best care for our Westie
Having a West Highland White Terrier as a member of your family is one of life's special privileges . They are wonderful companions and are loved by everyone they meet. They do however present a challenge to keep them healthy. This breed is prone to have food allergies, skin infections, and ear problems. While none of these are usually serious they do require several trips a year to the Veternarian for treatment. Having Nationwide pet insurance to cover most of costs enables our family to provide our Westie with the best care possible. We love our Westie and we love Nationwide Pet Insurance. We highly recommend them for your pet.

Surprisingly great
I was skeptical. Insurance companies have made a nasty name for themselves. However, I have been pleasantly surprised this year. NationWide-Pet has gone above and beyond their duties. For a large corporate company...you are definitely making my dog and I feel like we matter.

Great customer service But communication lacked a bit
I have been pleased with overall service, albeit a little slow processing claims ... but on this claim the communication about needing more information from me was severely lacking. Which really drug the processing of the claim out for a while. I had to contact Nationwide 2 times to resolve. So would appreciate better email communication - more clear direction.

Nationwide is great!
Without Nationwide Pet Insurance, we'd be out thousands of dollars for our little buddy. Glenn. His breed is known for having some health issues, and so we knew that pet insurance was a must. While he (thankfully) hasn't had any issues yet, he has gotten cold and he ate a construction grade staple one time which required x-rays. He's good now, and thanks to Nationwide the financial burden of getting out buddy healthy was easy.

Coverage
Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
