Wonderful and so easy!!
I have recently submitted a couple claims for my cat and nationwide was prompt in responding and made the process so easy! They even checked back in with me to see how he was doing after his visits! Excellent.

Timing is Everything
My only complaint really is processing time. It takes on average 30+ days to get a claim processed. It’s just tough sometimes waiting that long.
On average car insurance claims take 5-10 days and regular human healthcare claims about 20 days.
I do recommend your insurance company with the caveat about processing time.
Otherwise your company is great, friendly, helpful!!

Surgery Help
We knew as a puppy that we would have our hands full between the energy and personality and opted for the whole wellness plan with Nationwide. So happy we did. From covering routine wellness checkups, to the big ACL surgery recently they have been a huge help and are quick with turning around claims, even the large ones that set you back and you really rely on that reimbursement. Very happy with their services and the ease of filing claims no matter how big or small.
Monthly Cost
Policies start at approximately $12 per month.
Coverage
Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
