Need to review better

I am thankful for Pet insurance but one has to be very vigilant when it comes to the results of your claim and how it is reviewed. How I place a claim for a roken bone that had surgery with pin and wire inserted comes back as a primary diagnosis being a splint! is beyond me.... I had to resend a request for further review and am awaiting the proper diagnosis and more claim money for such an expensive surgery. Generally , Nationwide pet insurance is fair but be observant and know what should be covered and amounts. read the contract....

A very good company!

Have paid all medical claims after satisfying $250 deductible. I've recently signed up for electronic payment as the paper checks were taking longer and longer to come in the mail.

Nationwide makes it very easy to submit claims and is very timely in paying the claim.

Nationwide makes it very easy to submit claims. The review of the claim is very time efficient. Claim payments can be done electronically with in a couple of days of review of the claim. They make it easy for people with busy lives!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
