Love Nationwide but wishing claims took less time to process!

I’ve been with nationwide pet insurance for 4 years now - back when it was VPI and not Nationwide. I’ve never had an issue with a claim. Filing is super easy. I have recommended countless people! My only complaint - and it’s starting to get worse - is that the turn around for claims to be processed is crazy long!! I do warn people about that now when recommending. I know a lot of people decide to get pet insurance to keep costs down. So to be out the money 4+ weeks for an expensive claim can be hard!

Fantastic service and great coverage - Thanks

We were always a little skeptical of pet insurance. But because my employer offered it and my wife has a love for rescuing old dogs, we decided try it out. Wow , it's been fantastic beyond belief. Coverage has been great. All the deductibles are reasonable. Service has been great. Highly recommended

Best Pet Insurance Ever!

My Labrador Retriever had insurance the day I brought her home and I am so glad that I made that decision. Now she is 12 years old and needing extra medical care for her skin condition and autoimmune disease. I would pay anything for my fur baby, but getting reimbursed for a good chunk for the $ is definitely worth it.

Love my pet insurance

I love my pet insurance. I always get great service whether I am asking questions on the Vet 800 number or have a question on a claim or upcoming procedure. Nationwide is on my pets side for sure. Thank you for being there when it counts.

Wonderful Service

I am extremely thankful for the service you provide given that we have a dog with chronic allergies. I do wish the timeliness of the refunds would increase. What used to take weeks is now taking months.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
