There when we need you!
We recently had an emergency Vet visit and the cost was hefty. But Nationwide did come through and helped ease some of that financial burden. Thankful for what we received for the claim. And more thankful that our Tyson was fine after the visit.

Good, but does not give accurate payment at times
I like Nationwide; however, when I have submitted some of my claims they are for things that are minor for dogs, like an ear infection, which is not a permanent condition. They should fix their diagnosis charts regarding pre-existing conditions for dogs.

when you need it NATIONWIDE IS GREAT TO HAVE
Sometimes I complain about the expense (we have 4 dachshunds insured). But when we needed it, $4000 vet bill Nationwide was there. Submission of claim easy, reimbursement on time and follow up on chesty's health appreciated!

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
