Absolute necessity

I will never own another dog without having pet insurance, especially Nationwide pet insurance. I reviewed a number of other policies but none of them could compare with what I got for the money. Nationwide is not the cheapest, but I would find it difficult to think there is a better policy that pays as much or as quickly as Nationwide. Most policies cover major illness, but Nationwide covers office visits and prescriptions. I couldn't be happier with Nationwide Pet Insurance.

We are very happy with our pet insurance.

We have maintained pet insurance on our dogs for many years. We had VIP which was changed to Nationwide and were wondering how the change would effect our coverage but we have not seen any difference. We have been pleased with the response when we have submitted claims.

Simple claims process, whenever you get to it.

It is so easy to create a claim. fill the form, email it, wait for your email, find a check in the mail. easy as that. whenever you get around to it. Im happy, my puppy is happy.

Dependable insurance and peace of mind

I have been very pleased with the Nationwide coverage I have for my 3 pets. I got the most coverage I could which includes wellness care and it's definitely been of value. Looking forward to years to come of having this coverage.

Hunter is doing much better

Hunter is doing much better now. After improving his diet and him drinking more water, he is back to normal and feeling good.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
