Better to have then not!

It is wonderful and very easy to take my dog to the vet when he was limping about! Even though I have to pay out of pocket for the visit I usually get it back quickly.

Dependable.

I have been pleased with the efficiency and customer service responses from Hartford Pet Insurance since I took out the policy with them. My Pomeranian does have more than one medical issue, so I am extremely grateful that Hartford has helped with the costs which, at times, has been overwhelming. .

Great Support!

Thank you for your support during our stomach event with our dog Wilson. He received some IV fluids, antiemetic and new food that was easier on his stomach. Wilson is back to his energetic mischievous self.

It takes too long to process claims and send payment.

We really like our policy and all that it covers. Our only complaint is that is usually talks at least 1 month to process our claims. Otherwise you are doing a great job of protecting Tacky and easing our concerns about the cost of treatment for him.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
