Straightforward claims process

Very happy with my service. Unfortunately, Luther is on his 3rd surgery, but the process has been very good on every level. Easy claim filing. Easy status checks. No arguing on need of care or price. Very happy with this. I recommend it often to others at work. We have it in our optional benefits plan

Absolutely the Best Insurance Provider for Pet Wellness & Care !!

Our two year old yellow lab had surgery performed and is almost back to her normal playful self. The Wellness Policy that was purchase thru Nationwide from day one when we brought Sandi Home to be part of our Family was the Best Decision made between my beautiful wife & I . It’s easy to file a claim and it’s just a couple of weeks until you receive the reimbursement. Best health and wellness coverage for the price.

well pet visit

Claims were for well visits and went smoothly. I was disappointed that after I submitted my claims (these were my first) I got notice that the insurance was going up. It said that it was going up for everyone, not just me, so I expected a small increase, but $23/month is about a 30% increase. I was shocked and now I'm not sure that I should have taken insurance. This is the first time I have ever had pet insurance and have had it less than a year. I will say yes to recommend, but only if one can afford it.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
