Wait times for payment too long.
Excelent insurance coverage for price. Tha wait time for payout is far too long. I had occasion to pay $900 to the vet. Had to wait 3 to 4 weeks for payment. I can see this wait time causing real hardship for families

Great benefits and people!
I love the ease of submitting a claim via the VitusVet app. It allows me to enter all info in the app, take a picture of my invoice or receipt, then send it in! That's it! I then receive email confirmation that it was received and wait for my reimbursement direct deposit. Having this insurance let's us breathe a little easier whenever there's a medical issue with our dog, Waggles. Everyone is always friendly when we call for assistance and usually* the process is seamless and effortless.
*Unfortunately, on more than one occasion, we have been advised from Nationwide that we haven't submitted the necessary information for our claim or that it's missing certain information, when it actually isn't. This causes a delay in the processing of our claim and ultimately our reimbursement. I only mention this because it hasn't been an isolated incident. It has happened quite a few times where I have had to fax in information that was already submitted in my original claim. Not sure why this happens, but it's my only *complaint* for Nationwide.

Awesome Pet Insurance!
I love this pet insurance! It covers everything!
I fax over my claim, in 2 weeks I have a check for 90% of the cost. My dog needed to be hospitalized for eating something bad. I was relieved I had Nationwide. Got paid back quickly and am recommending it to who ever will listen.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
