Claim submission extremely easy

I am able to see and manage both policies for each cat at once. This is very helpful. The vet put both of my cats on prescription food and I’m so grateful that this is covered by my policy. Also submitting claims is very easy

Nationwide is the best animal insurance out there

Nationwide is the best animal insurance money can by. I have seen the miracles that you guys do first hand. Several of my friends have Nationwide and we are spreading the word. Thank you for being on our side.

claims take a longer time than it did years ago to get reimbursed

Claims seem to take a longer time to process than it did years ago. Main complaint is that my pets rate has gone up every year as he ages, but then you have a low cut off amounts for one of the main issues that affect older dogs, mine being arthritis. Also don't understand why separation anxiety is considered a "behavioral issue." It isn't for humans. It should be considered a medical issue, which for my dog who is older and is a rescue is a major reason for him being a rescue to begin with. Hard to change what happened in his past when I'm not aware of what that was that caused his "behavioral issue," being a "rescued" dog.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
