So thankful
Nationwide has been great. Since taking over from VIP, everything has been simpler and more streamlined. More importantly they have been there to help me with Roscoe when I needed it and I feel more secure knowing that they are there.

Excellent in service and claims
Over the years we have had all our dogs insured under VPI and now Nationwide and it has been a blessing as it gave us peace of mind to know that they have had the best care. Nationwide is very thorough and helpful and what I like about it is the excellent service and the ease of filing claims. I have referred many people to get the Nationwide Pet Insurance. When I go to the vets office and people are waiting and hear me say "I have pet insurance" they usually ask me who and I tell them "I have the best insurance with Nationwide and I have carried pet insurance for many years and I would never have an animal without taking out a Nationwide Pet Insurance Policy." End of story!!!!

If you need pet insurance this is who you should use
I have a now 2 1/2 year old golden retriever who loves to eat anything not nailed down. I went with Nationwide on a recommendation from my neighbor. We have submitted claims a couple of times - 1 for an emergency visit and 1 for a wellness check. Claims were extremely easy to process - did it right online. Within a couple of weeks i the money due me back in my bank account.
Monthly Cost
Policies start at approximately $12 per month.
Coverage
Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
